Labour Day
Labour day is a special when every one who works gets a day off. Including schools, office's, café's etc. The word Labour day honers the struggle of an eight hour working day. New Zealand workers were the first in the world to claim the right when, in 1840 when Samuel Parnell won an eight hour day in Wellington. Labour day was first celebrated in New Zealand on 28 October 1890.
