Fathers Day
This week we were asked to recreate our dads online or a special person in our life and why they were awesome and special.
This is kind of what my dad looks like but older and you can never see his eyes but in the picture I made you can (kinda). To me my dad is awesome because he is always there for me and my brother, he takes us to cool places like up town bounce ( up town bounce is a trampoline park) and something that I find really awesome is that he works near two trampoline parks! Me and my brother are his most favourite people in the world when we don't include the cat. And he loves us as much as we love him.

Daffodil Day
Today at our school it is Daffodil day, to celebrate Daffodil day we dressed up what we wanted to be when we were older and brought a 2$ coin to donate to the cancer foundation. I dressed up as an artist and my friend Ashling dressed up as archaeologist.
We donated money to the cancer foundation so it can help find a cure to stop cancer.

Mischa's summarie
The funeral finished and everyone was saying there goodbyes, then Jason saw the strange people from before and they were making him freak out... a lot. When everyone was leaving and Jason's dad was paying the funeral bill he was wondering where everyone was going and saw everyone quickly entering the Driftwood Cafeteria. But when Mrs Keese was leaving Jason was surprised and asked what about the cemetery? Aren't you coming with us? To say good bye to Grandma? She held Jason's hand tightly and replied She's not here anymore and left.
When they where following the limo to the cemetery Jason's father was being moody about the car because he was upset. Jason had mixed feelings when they carried the coffin and when they buried the coffin. The trip home was silent, when Jason was home his dad had a few beers then went to bed, Jason called Hector for his daily hatred call about Florida then Jason went to bed.....the one his Grandmother had a stroke in. They were woken up early on Saturday morning from the dumpster truck. Jason started thinking about how much junk there was in the house, then wondered about how many free magazines his grandma had gotten.
They started to dump things that couldn't be sold and give other things to charity, at the end of the day (Jasons dad was on his last trip the the donation place) and Jason was tired but still curious, then he stared at the white box Mrs Keese had pulled out with the note (Very important papers) and started to pull out yellow folders/papers as he was starting to put the things back in the box he noticed a magazine, not the Time or Life magazine, It was called bizarre Mysteries and was dated October 1944 the images where of a man, woman and a crocodile on its back, its massive jaws hanging open loosely. And lots of strange this things he hadn't noticed before on the picture by someone named Emerson Beale, I suddenly looked at the the letters EB, I heard my dad coming in the drive way and ran to him yelling YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!! He came in with groceries, so whats this?, what did you find he replied Is it weird grandma hid the important papers box! He held it and said wait I remember this the colours and that and that he tapped at the name I think she knew him ( the writer ) They sat together reading the magazine together and flipped through it some of the stories had monsters or ghosts and flipping through they could see that they were dark with murder and violence.

My Mural
This is my Mural, it represents about how my Great Grandparents sailed from China to New Zealand. The bamboo and cherry blossom shows that my grandparents are from china and that everything is peaceful, the pandas and the buildings mean that my grandparents are moving out of home into the big city then the sea, boat, and New Zealand flag shows that they sailed on a boat all the way from China to New Zealand and finally the house next to the flag represents my family's home.

Group Endeavour Ignition - what are you curious about? ‘What we learn with pleasure we never forget!’
Today at school we are starting impact again in Marama, To start off the teachers put out different things on different tables then asked us to get some notes and write down some questions about what makes us curious at each table. The table I was most interested about was the food/spices table. Some of my questions where about why did bark smell like cinnamon? And Where does pepper corn come from? Next the teachers asked us to go to the table that we where most interested in, get a large piece of paper and sort out all the different categories in a group, And that was all for toady.

The Post Card

This week for Book Bash we have to read five chapters of the Postcard, then write a prediction about it.
I Think that Jason is going to look in the neighbours letterbox and find a Postcard that has something to do with his dead grandmother.
I also think that that Jason is going to meet a girl ( maybe apart of his family) and together they are going to find his/there grandfather. I think that because of the picture on the book.

My report on Raiden's holiday
On the first day of school instead of writing about our holiday we were to report someone else's holiday
In the holidays on Saturday Raiden went scout camping in Tura, When he was camping he met new people from paeroa and made a friend. (Callum) His scout leader was Jeramy, He said he went to scouts to learn new things, have fun and meet new people. Then he went home on Tuesday.

Maori Language week
This week at school we celebrated Maori language week, This week we celebrated many things but I am only going to write about three. One of the things we did was making poi poi's. These are used in dances to go along with the music. I made two with my friend Ashling. Another thing we did was singing and learning Maori songs. Now for the last thing I am going to share with you is that we made fried bread, People use fried bread to celebrate Maori language week because the ingredients are simple and does not take to long to make plus it is very fulling.
If you want to make your own fried Bread the recipe is bellow.

Making Fried Bread
At school on Tuesday me and my learning team made fried bread! At first we were put into groups (I was with Morgen), Then we measured and mixed the ingredients. Next we kneaded the dough then we waited ten minutes for it to rise. While we were waiting we washed the dishes luckily since I was in a cast I didn't have to do the dishes !!YAY!! When the dough rised we put them in pots fulled with oil. Once they were cooked we ate them!

A strange but cool craze that has started in New York and has now come to Auckland. and all It involves is your average Post-it note.
This trend in New York were the first to present the mosaic-style pictures on their windows, and now Auckland is the latest city to stock up on the post- it notes in the name of art.
all you need to go is look high above the streets of central Auckland and TADAA a beautiful art gallery!

My Weekly News Elephant lives with bullet in head
An elephant in Zimbabwe has been given medical treatment from a conservation group after being shot in the head by some evil poachers.
The elephant was found by veterinarians from Aware Trust Zimbabwe in Mana Pools National Park.
The elephant is believed to have the bullet in his head for between three and six weeks.
Pretty Boy is his nickname, it is thought that Pretty Boy must have come into the park after being shot
A metal detector was used to scan the elephant’s head. The team put him to sleep, took an X-ray and cleaned the wound but they thought it would safer to leave the bullet in his head.
If the shot had hit a few centimetres lower down it would have gone into his brain and Pretty Boy would have died.
The elephant is believed to be around 25 years old.

My weekend/ Queens B-Day
This week I was going to my dads, I was thinking about Tyne hitch hiking but... I was being nice and let him tag along. When we got in the new car I was in the back (as always) and Tyne was in the front. Tyne was so excited about the seat warmers but.. there were no seat warmers in the back so I was left with a large blanket. When we were home it was eight so we just had dinner then went to bed. The Next day I was working on my IE while Tyne was on his phone, Later on we went to up town bounce. ( I think its really stupid because they put three trampoline parks all next to each other) When we were there a woman was telling us the rules and stuff when this kid wasn't listening at all just kept looking at the wall. When we were let go five minutes later the kid broke his collarbone to be honest I thought it was funny but I don't know about Tyne. Then when we were leaving another trampoline park had an ambulance their. Then the next we went home back to Paeroa.

My weekly Learning Goal
I do the right thing even when no-one is looking, helping others; because I can.
For me doing this is my favourite thing in the world. I like helping others because their smile just makes me happy. I really like helping other people because I know a small thing can make a persons day so this goal was really easy for me.
The video down below is very inspiring and I hope you enjoy
NYLD
On Friday I went to NYLD. NYLD is a big event where lots of schools meet up and get inspired by young leaders. The speakers for this year was Chris Jupp, Billy Graham, Valentine Tauamiti, Marina Alefosio, Emily Muli and Brylee Mills.
For me my top three speakers would be Billy Graham, Valentine Tauamiti and Brylee Mills. I liked Billy because he may not have been good at something but he tried, he gave it a go. I liked Valentine because when he told his story he told it in a funny and inspiring way and I liked Emily because she never gave up even when things where tough.

My brainy goal reflections
For my vegetable goal my mum took it a bit to far so all I had in my lunch was fruit and veggies so i'm doing good on that.
For the sleeping and brain breaks I have been going great on that I have been getting up early and going to bed early and I have been doing good on the brain breaks because I have up to 4-5 brain breaks a day.
So I give myself a big tick!
